What coaching IS and what it IS NOT
Coaching IS NOT Therapy
Coaching IS
about helping you become a better communicator with YOURSELF because
when you do, you naturally work harder and smarter.
Coaching IS about helping you to move
forward while retaining who you are inside.
Coaching IS about facilitating deep learning
and lasting change. So the coaching conversation needs to be both
relevant and resonant.
Ready to find yourself a coach?
First,
clarify the goal you want to achieve thru
coaching
Second,
clarify how you want to achieve that goal

Pointers for finding the right coach for you...
Did the life coach
meaningfully address the issue you brought to the call? Do you see
things about the issue that you didn't see before? Are you able to see
yourself continuing to work towards your goal with this coach?
Did the coach listen? Do you feel that the coach
understood who you really are? Did the coach communicate with you in an
understandable manner? Did the words fit you? What did you hear in your
own words that was new? How helpful was the conversation?
What kind of energy did you feel from the coach
throughout the call? Did the coach motivate you? Did the coach's manner
engage you in the call and process? Did the call illicit new
thoughts, feelings, and insights that can speak to the value of the
sample session?
How was the rapport with the coach? Were you
comfortable speaking with the coach? Did you feel that you were able to
be open? Now, try to imagine what it would be like to have an ongoing
life coaching relationship with this life coach - how does that feel?
Was the coach creative, enabling you
to see old things in new ways, or get out of you own way, or get back on
track, or whatever? Do you feel motivated to work with this life
coach on an ongoing basis? Rate your confidence level that this
particular life coach can help you achieve your goals.
